For Learner’s Permit Applicants Who Have Failed the DMV Knowledge Exam Three Times
Service Description
Learners permit applicants who fail the DMV knowledge examination three times are required to successfully complete an 8-hour recertification course before they can take the exam a fourth time at the DMV. This program consists of a classroom course based on the Virginia Driver's Manual, designed to better prepare individuals for the test at the DMV. IMPORTANT: Applicants aged 17 and under must have completed 36 periods of driver's education and provide proof (Drivers ed certificate) of this before being eligible for the 8- hour Driver's Manual course. Here’s How It Works: 1. Click the payment link for the course that applies to you. 2. After payment, you will receive a direct link to the DMV-approved course website. 3. Log in and out of the course as needed. 4. The final exam for the online course can be taken at home as many times as necessary. 5. Upon successful completion, we will create and email you an electronic certificate. 6. Take the certificate to the DMV to retake the knowledge exam as many times as needed. 7. If you are under 18, you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
